Obituary

WORCESTER___Alphonse C. “Bunny” Krusas, 94, of 11 Lake Avenue, died Tuesday Sept. 11, 2007 in Millbury Health Care Center, Millbury. His wife of 71 years, Anna M. (Domeika) Krusas died May 4, 2007.

He leaves two sons, Robert W. Krusas and his wife Joan of Worcester and John M. Krusas and his friend, Laurie of West Paterson, New Jersey; five grandchildren, Robert W. Krusas, Jr, and his wife Nancy, Kevin Krusas and his wife Maria, Christopher Krusas, John Michael Krusas and Kathleen Green and her husband, Chet, two great-grandchildren, Kevin Carl and Caterina and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by three brothers, Julius, Albin and Martin Krusas. He was born in Worcester, a son of Domenic and Kostante (Grigiute) Krusas and lived here all his life.

Mr. Krusas was a machinist 44 years for Crompton & Knowles Co. and retired in 1976. He was a member of St. Casimir Church and was a charter member and former board member of the Lithuanian Social Club. Mr. Krusas graduated from Commerce High School where he was a stand out athlete. He later played semi pro baseball. He loved sports and was an avid Red Sox fan.

The funeral will be held on Friday Sept. 14 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence Street. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday Sept. 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir Church Building Fund, 41 Providence Street, Worcester, Ma., 01604.
