Mr. Frank C. Kenna, age 82, died Saturday Sept. 1, 2007, in Lowell, MA , following a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Janet McKay Whitton.
Born in Woodhaven, NY, September 15th, 1924, a son of the late Frank L. and Dorothea (Lorenz) Kenna.
Mr. Kenna resided in Florida up until 2002 for 25 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Kenna was very active in the Coast Guard Auxillary of NY for many years.
Prior to his retirement he was employed as a supervisor of the bakery department for the A & P Supermarket.
He is survived by one daughter Kathleen C. Barker and Steven E. Meier, of Virginia; two sisters, Dorothy Heine, of Charleston, SC and Augusta Hilsz, of MA; one granddaughter, Janet Kathleen Webber and her husband John J. of Oxnard, CA' one great grandchild, Shelby Noel Webber, of Oxnard, CA; as well as many nieces and nephews. All services and cremation were held in Lowell, MA .
Funeral Services will take place at the Pine Lawn National VA Cemetery, in Farmingdale, NY on Monday, Sept. 10 at 11 o'clock to which relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
