Alice V. Moody, 78, of Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH, died Thursday, December 19, 2002 at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester following a lengthy illness. She was born in Medford, MA on August 4, 1924, a daughter of the late William and Mary C. (McCarthy) Kirwan. She was a resident of Londonderry for the past six years, formerly living in Fremont, NH and Hudson, NH. Mrs. Moody had been employed as a lead manager for Centronics in Hudson until her retirement. She was a member of the Londonderry Senior Citizens and was a communicant of St. Jude Parish Community in Londonderry.
She is survived by her husband, Maurice M. Moody Sr. of Londonderry, one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Diane) Flechtner of Fountain Hills, AZ, four sons, John (wife Judy) Moody of Derry, Robert (wife Nancy) Moody of Olive Branch, MS, Maurice M. (wife Betty) Moody Jr. of Hudson, Stephen (wife Lisa) Moody of Hudson, 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, three sisters, Lorraine McGovern of Raymond, NH, Mrs. Nelson (Carolyn) Rock of Deerfield, NH, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Bothwick of Las Vegas, NV, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carolyn Ranney who died in 1990.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 21st at 10:00 at St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. The burial will follow in the Old Pine Grove Cemetery in Raymond. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry on Friday from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8.
