Henry “Hank” Vigoda of Malden died on September 4, 2007 at the age of 73. He is the beloved husband of Phyllis (Isenberg) Vigoda.
Hank was born in Boston and was raised in Chelsea and Revere where he attended the Revere schools and Revere High School. Hank went on to Northeastern University to complete his studies. He later moved to Malden, MA where he spent the last twenty years of his life. Hank served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Army Reserves for 10 years. Hank was a real estate broker and constable while also being an active member in the community. He was a member of the Massachusetts Bay Constable Association, a member of the Temple Emmanuel of Chelsea, and served on the Board of Appeals in Malden.
Hank was the devoted father of Earl Vigoda of Lynnfield and Marla Vigoda and her long time partner Kosta Kerastaris of Stoneham. He is the dear brother of Louis Vigoda of Randolph, Ann Israelson of Hudson and dear brother-in-law of Milda Isenberg of Florida. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Square) Chelsea on Thursday, September 6 at 1:00PM. Internment will follow in Everett. Memorial observance will be at the home of Earl Vigoda of Lynnfield Thursday following the burial until 9:00PM, Friday 1:00-6:00PM, Saturday 7:00-10:00PM and Sunday 1:00-8:00PM.
