Mary L. (Heuston) Eatherton, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died suddenly at her home in Charlestown on Friday August 31, 2007. She was 83 years old.
Mary was born in Boston and has lived her entire life in Charlestown and attended Boston Public Schools. She was a homemaker.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late Gilbert W. Eatherton. She is the devoted mother of Gilbert "GiGi" Eatherton, Philip Eatherton, Elizabeth Simonsen all of Charlestown, Robert Kane of Everett, Eleanor Eatherton of South Carolina and the late Joanne Arizga. She is the loving grandmother of 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of the late Eleanor Powers, Joseph, Edward, Leo and Mason Heuston.
Mary's Funeral will be held on Wednesday morning September 5, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Catherine's Church, 49 Vine St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Mary will be held on Tuesday September 4, 2007 from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
