WORCESTER-Carol A. (Shea) Vigeant, 60, of Worcester, died Friday, August 31st, in her home. She leaves her husband of 14 years, Jeffrey P. Vigeant; a brother, Robert D. Shea of West Yarmouth; 2 step-sons, Jeffrey C. Vigeant of Auburn and Robert B. Vigeant of Worcester; and 3 grandsons.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Walter D. and Marian E. (Savage) Shea and graduated from South High School and Worcester Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Carol was a Registered Nurse with the I.V. Team at UMass-Memorial Hospital, University Campus, where she worked for 27 years. During the late 1960’s and early 1970’s, she also had worked in an Army hospital in Germany. Carol was a member of the Massachusetts Nurse’s Association and enjoyed golfing, dancing and traveling.
The funeral is Wednesday, September 5th, from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:30 A.M. in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 5 Spaulding Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Tuesday, September 4th, from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
