Orr’s Island, ME
Chester J. Nowasacki, Jr., 67, of Orr’s Island, ME, formally of Hudson, MA, died Sunday, August 26, 2007 at Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick, ME after a sudden illness.
He was born in Marlborough, MA on October 2, 1939, son of the late Chester J. Sr. and Evelyn (Costa) Nowasacki.
He was a graduate of Hudson H.S., class of 1958 and later attended Southern Illinois University earning his B.S. in education.
He was a former elementary school teacher in the Northborough public school system and later owned and operated Spec-Tec, Ltd., a wire distribution company in Worcester, MA. He enjoyed the outdoors often fishing and observing wildlife, especially birds. He was an avid cribbage player and enjoyed crosswords and reading and enjoyed the times spent with his dogs.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Markowitz and her husband David of Auburn, MA; his sister, Donna Long and her husband Jeffrey of Marlborough, MA; his nephew and godson, Peter Long of Mansfield, MA; and nephew William Long of Shrewsbury, MA.
He is also survived by his two former wives, Mary J. Nowasacki of Auburn, MA and Marjorie (Walter) Parker of Georgetown, ME.
Family and friends may attend calling hours Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com.) 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749. The Hudson H.S. class of 1958 will meet Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held in Maine at a later date.
