Cynthia S. Opp, 53 of Franklin died suddenly August 27 in her home.
Born in Port Chester, New York, October 13, 1953, the daughter of Warren and Julie (Aiello) Opp of Plymouth, Miss Opp was raised in Simsbury, CT and had lived in Franklin for the past 16 years.
She was a graduate of Simsbury High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was also a graduate of Gettysburg College.
Miss Opp had been a staff accountant for the Herbert F. Hunter P.C. of Franklin. She had previously worked as a lab technician at Massachusetts General Hospital, Bayer-CIBA Corning and St. Francis Hospital.
Miss Opp loved animals, woodworking, reading, biking, running and the New York Yankees.
She was a member of the Franklin Federated Church.
She is also survived by her sister, Karen Lunn of Foxboro and a nephew, John.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday September 1 in the Franklin Federated Church at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Vine Hill Cemetery in Plymouth, Mass.
Calling hours will be on Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin 131 Main St. in Franklin.
