Jean (Kaplan) Elfman, a lifelong resident of Chelsea, entered into eternal rest on August 24, 2007 at the Haven Health Care Center of Chelsea. She was 77 years old & the wife of the late David Elfman who entered into rest in 2002.
Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Philip & Bessie (Levine) Kaplan, Jean was raised & educated in Chelsea, graduating from Chelsea High School in 1948. She dedicated her life to her husband & children, & was a wonderful caregiver & lover of all animals. Jean was a member of the Metro North Jewish Community Center.
Jean is survived by her devoted daughter, Rochelle Frost of Chelsea; loving grandchildren Dawn & Joseph; & cherished great-granddaughter Ileana. She is also survived by daughter Debra DeFlumeri & her 2 sons of Peabody. Jean was the sister of Lillian Goldstein of Stoneham, Sidney Kaplan of Framingham, & the late Sylvia Ross & Herman Kaplan.
Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Rabbi Nochum Cywiak of Cong. AAA Sfard & Cong. Agudas Shalom will officiate. Burial will follow in the Farband Cemetery, Danvers.
