Donald Ross Turner, 61, of Tifton died Saturday, October 29, 2005, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. John S. Gibbs, Sr. will officiate with a private burial to be held at a later date.
Mr. Turner was born on August 7, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois and was the son of John Ellis Turner and Alma Mae Wilson Turner, both deceased. He worked for City Florist in Tifton.
Mr. Turner is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Consuelo and Dane Scott of Orlando, Florida; one step daughter, Melissa Roberson of Lakeland, Florida; one sister, Martha Turner Davis of Fort Mitchell, Kentucky; one brother, Lamar Ellis Turner of Mascott, Florida; one true love, Maria Rosie Turner of Lakeland, Florida; and extended family, Donnie, Nadine and Danette Spradlin and past and present employees of City Florist in Tifton.
