Gerald Keith Jimmison, Sr. departed this life on August 21, 2007 in Huntsville, Alabama and entered into eternal rest. He was born on January 9, 1963. He was the son of the late James Floyd and Helen Fennell Jimmmison of Scottaboro, Alabama.
Keith graduated from Johnson High School and served his country in the United States Army.
He acceptefd Christ at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Julius Scruggs. He later united with the New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church of America under the leadership of Pastor Terry L. Ragland.
He met and married Yvette Sandifer on September 3, 1993 and to this union two children were born, Unika and Gerald, Jr. Keith was a devoted husband and father who shared a special bond with his children.
Keith is survived by his loving wife Yvette; daughters, Unika and Quanita Shoulders; three sons, Thomas Heath Jimmison, Gerald Jr., and Marquez Sandifer; one sister, Loretha D. Sanders; three brothers, Johnny Floyd, James Frederick and Charles Dwayne Jimmison; stepmother, Karen Jimmison; mother-in-law, Bertha (Robert) Andersong; father-in-law Duris (Donna) Kirby; sister-in-law, Tracey Andersong; brother-in-laws, Orlando Andersong and Randy Andersong; loving aunts, Carine Allen and Reba Hall; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Gerald Jimmison will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2007 from the New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America with Reverend Terry Ragland officiating. The remains of Mr. Jimmison will be in the church one hour prior to funeral time.
