Flossie Lewis Miller, 89, of Tifton died Tuesday, November 15, 2005, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2005 in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Jackie Connell and Rev. Jay McNeese will officiate with burial to follow in Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Irwin County. Pallbearers will be Greg Branch, Larry Stout, Bobby Stout, Terance Womack, Brandon Tucker, John Gurley, Roy Miller, Roger Lewis and Jay Branch. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 16, 2005, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Lewis was born on April 16, 1916 in Berrien County and was the daughter of William Sinclair Lewis and Berta Summerlin Lewis, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Abner Miller, who died on October 20, 1998. She was a homemaker and attended Tift Avenue Baptist Church.
Mrs. Miller is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda Miller Roberts and her husband, Rev. Terrell Roberts, of Tifton; one sister, Marjorie "Jimmie" Harper of Tifton; three grandchildren and their spouses, Teresa and Larry Martin Stout, Terri and Jay Gregory Branch, Sr. and Lisa and Terance Womack, all of Tifton; and four great grandchildren, Jay Gregory Branch Jr., Alexandria Roberts Branch, Tori Stout and Bobby Stout, all of Tifton.
