Madelyn Best Palmer, 88, of Tifton died Thursday, December 1, 2005, at Beverly Health Care. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2005, at Tifton's First Presbyterian Church. Dr. Bill Christman will officiate with burial to be held at a later date at Palms Presbyterian Church Courtyard in St. John's County.
Ms. Palmer was born on December 28, 1916 in Fedora, South Dakota and was the daughter of John Best and Caroline Van Vorus Best, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Warren Keith Palmer. She was a proof reader for the Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida Recorder and a member of Tifton's First Presbyterian Church.
Ms. Palmer is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Alvin Marshall of Tifton; three grandchildren, Casey Marshall and his wife, Amy, Feraby Marshall and Jennifer Marshall; and one great grandchild, Brandon Marshall.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Mrs. Madelyn Palmer.
