Obituary

Sara Maxine Camp Cooper, 84 of Enigma, formerly of Tifton, died Sunday, August 19, 2007, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Paster Chris Cooper and Pastor Clint Wood will officiate with burial to follow in Ty Ty Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will recieve friends on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Ms. Cooper was born on February 16, 1923 in Coweta County and was the daughter of Charles Millard Camp and Ola "Mae" Long Camp, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Harvard Cooper, Sr.; two sons, Frank Cooper and Donald Steve Cooper; and one sister, Janie Camp Cooper. She was a retired hospital dietician and of the Baptist faith. She had lived in Tift County all of her life.

Ms. Cooper is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Virgil Cooper, Jr. of Macon, James Edward and June Cooper of Perry, Wayne and Connie Cooper of Warner Robins and Danny R. Cooper of Centerville; four daughters and one son-in-law, Grace Freyer of Montgomery, Alabama, Joyce Cooper of Tifton, Barbara and Carl Hancock of Tifton and Doris Carter of Montgomery, Alabama; one brother, Major Ellis Camp of Carrabelle, Florida; 21 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
