TALLENT, James W. “Jim”, Jr., of Winthrop and Lake Worth, FL, passed away at the Glenridge Nursing Home on May 17, 2007. He was 83. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Sullivan) Tallent. Born in Boston, He was the son of the late James W. Sr. and Catherine (McBride) Tallent. Devoted father of Robert Tallent and his wife Susan, James “Jim” Talent lll and Elena Todisco, David Tallent and his wife Sharon, Mark Tallent and his wife Kathy, Beth Tallent and her husband Mark Wallace, Kevin Tallent and Maria Rosati, all of Winthrop, and Nancy Aliberti and her husband Roger of Deerfield, N.H. Brother of Eleanor Smalley and her husband Robert of Bridgewater, MA, Herbert Tallent and his wife Sheila of Kennebunk, ME, and brother-in-law of the late Connie (Rutledge) Tallent. Adored grandfather of Ronald, Kimberly, Kelly, David, Tracy, Amanda, Summer Joy, Alex, and John Paul Tallent, Lisa Yarrow, Megan Noonand, Christopher Aliberti, Cara Christie, Danielle Perry-Tallent, John James Wallace, and Christina Servideo. Also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St, WINTHROP. A Funeral Mass was held on Tues, May 22, in St. John the Evangelist Church at 10am. Interment was in Winthrop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Perkins Institute for the Blind 175 N. Beacon St. Watertown, MA, 02172, or the Viking Pride Foundation PO Box 520037, Winthrop, MA, 02152. Late U.S. Navy Air Corp Veteran-WWll, and member of the Cottage Park Yacht Club, Winthrop Golf Club-Past Treasurer, American Legion-Winthrop Post#146, West Palm Beach Golf Club, former Winthrop Little League Coach, served on the Winthrop Advisory Board for 18 years, and was a retired sales supervisor for Colgate-Palmolive.
