Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 9:15am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 10:15am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Marie J. (Cronin) Jones, 85 years a lifelong resident of Brockton died Thursday August 16, 2007 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late James T. “Jimmie” Jones. Born and raised in Brockton, daughter of the late John J. and Katherine T. (Collins) Cronin, she was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1940. For many years she had been a summer resident of Wareham, was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church and a member of the 20th Century Club.
Marie is survived by her children Alice M. Jones of Pittsfield, Kevin J. Jones and his wife Frances of Raynham, Jay T. Jones and his wife Debra of Mattapoisett, Kathleen J. Reardon and her husband James of Medway and Barbara J. Cronin of Marion, 15 grandchildren Patrick and Allie Sheehan of Dalton, Christopher of Quincy, Brian and Meg Jones of Canton, Mark and Sean Jones of South Boston, Kelli, Ryan and Maura Jones of Mattapoisett, Sheamus, Michaela and Breanna Reardon of Medway, Michael, Catherine and Jennifer Mulloy and Emily Cronin of Marion and two great granddaughters Alice and Grace Sheehan of Dalton, one brother John J. Cronin and his wife Evelyn of Brockton, a sister in law Pat Jones of Mashnee Island and many nieces and nephews.
