A. Joan Noyce, 87, of Sandown, NH, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at Sunbridge Healthcare in Exeter, NH. Mrs. Noyce was born in Birmingham, England on November 21, 1919, a daughter of the late Henry S. and Annie H. (Lee) Deamon. She was a resident of Sandown and Exeter, NH for the past 50 years. Mrs. Noyce was a graduate of Medford High School. During WWII, she worked at the Boston Naval Shipyard as a riveter, later she had been employed by Western Electric in North Andover, MA for 25 years. She was a member of the O.E.S., Ransford Chapter #3 in Derry, NH, and the White Shrine in Nashua, NH. Mrs. Noyce was a Masonic wife who traveled with her husband to numerous Masonic functions. She was active in forming the Sixty Plus Club in Sandown. Mrs. Noyce was a member and former Sunday School Teacher at St. Matthews, UMC,in Sandown, a member of the Sandown School Board, and a member of the Sandown Grange.
She is survived by three daughters, Nancy J. Geisser of Exeter, Robin C. Ryder of Sandown, and Tammy E. Williams; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Henry Deamon of Sarasota, FL; one sister, Mary Haggett of El Cajon, CA; and also by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Robert A. Noyce who died in 1982, as well as her siblings, Maisie Boulds and Thomas Deamon.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 25th at 11:00am in the Great Hill Cemetery, Rt. 121A, Chester, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01710. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling the arrangements.
