Obituary

Salem: Yvonne I. (Grenier) Aylwin age 90 of Salem died unexpectedly at her home, Monday, August 13, 2007. She was the wife of the late Theodore L. Aylwin.

Mrs. Aylwin was born on August 18, 1916, in Salem, daughter of the late Alphonse and Exilia (Turgeon) Grenier. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mrs. Aylwin was employed for 27 years at the Sylvania Sylvan Street Plant in Danvers in their assembly / production department until her retirement in 1981. She dedicated her entire life to her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church until its closing 3 years ago and has since become a communicant of St. Anne Church in Salem. As hobbies she enjoyed gardening, knitting and sewing.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Richard L. and Rita Aylwin of Danvers, Paul T. and Mary Rose Aylwin of Pottersville NY, Ken R. and Linda Aylwin of Ipswich and Elaine M. and Robert Sullivan of Nashua NH; a brother and his wife, Cyrille and Theresa Grenier of Salem; 6 grandchildren, Kevin Aylwin and his wife Nichole, Peter Aylwin and his wife Jennifer all of Topsfield, Jennifer LaMothe and herhusband Jared of Tampa FL, Christine Aylwin of Beverly, Daniel Aylwin of Ipswich and David Sullivan of Nashua NH; 3 great grandchildren, Katelyn, Sarah and Andrew Aylwin all of Topsfield and several nieces and nephews. Her siblings Viola Pelletier, Ronaldo, Eleanor, Florence, Alfred, Leopold and Placid Grenier pre deceased her.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday August 18, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Anne Church, Salem. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem
