Joseph Albert Jeffrey, 88, of New Bedford died Monday August 13, 2007 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Marie Louise (Debrosse) Jeffrey; they were married for 58 years.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Marie P. (Belanger) and Andre Robert Jeffrey, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
Mr. Jeffrey was formerly employed as an inspector for Pratt and Whitney in Connecticut. He later worked for DeBross Oil Company and Poyant Sign Company.
During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include several nephews and cousins.
