Obituary

Margaret M. (Davenport) Taylor, 84, of 74 Reservoir Street in the
Cherry Valley section of Leicester died Wed., Aug. 8 in her home after an
illness.
She leaves her husband of 60 years Clifton G. Taylor, a son Victor M.
Taylor of Cherry Valley, a daughter Deborah A. Entwistle and her husband
Charles of Leicester, a brother Albert J. Davenport of Cherry Valley, six
grandchildren Belinda Tompkins, Andrew V. Taylor, Sarah Taylor, Rebecca
Taylor, Elizabeth Entwistle and Charles W. Entwistle, IV, a great-grandson
Thomas Cody Tompkins, her former daughter-in-law Janice Perkins Taylor and
several nieces and nephews. She is pre-deceased by a grandson Matthew P.
Taylor, a daughter-in law Kathleen Taylor, three brothers Francis, Joseph
and Raymond Davenport and two sisters Anna Either and Alberta McGlynn.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Worcester daughter of Albert and Margaret M.
(Carrigan) Davenport. She attended Leicester schools. She was a founding
member of the Cherry Valley Improvement Club and chairwoman of the
Leicester area American Cancer Society Fund Drive. She enjoyed gardening
and flowers and loved to dance. She was most proud of the fact that she was
"One of the Original Valley Girls".
Funeral Services will be held Sat., Aug 11 at 11:00 AM in
MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will be in
Cherry Valley Cemetery. Calling hours are Sat. from 9:30-11:00 AM. in lieu
of flowers memorial donations may be made to VNA Care Network, 120 Thomas
Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
