Obituary

Norman Paul "Normie" Tenovsky, 72, a resident of Revere & formerly of Chelsea, entered into eternal rest on August 9, 2007 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Cecile "Ceil" Tenovsky of Revere & father of the late Scott "Big Bird" Tenovsky who entered into eternal rest in 1994.

Born in Malden, the son of the late Morris & Eva (Kanter) Tenovsky, Normie was raised & educated in Chelsea. He enlisted in the United States Navy on September 17, 1951 & served honorably during the Korean Conflict until being discharged with the rank of Seaman on May 20, 1955 in Long Beach, CA. After returning from military service, Normie became an ironworker with Local #7 in Boston until his retirement in 1987, & then his association continued as a member of the Ironworker's Retiree Association. Normie's true love was his family & he cherished the time he was able to spend with them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Marci Tenovsky of Revere; his sister, Elaine Albin & her husband Phil of TX; his sister-in-law, Judy Stein & her husband Jerry of Swampscott; & many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, & great-nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at 9:00 AM in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA. Burial will follow in the Sudilkov Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Memorial observance will be held on Sunday immediately following the funeral at the Clubhouse at the Summit Estates, 1002-1008 Paradise Rd. Swampscott & on Monday at Normie's late residence in Revere. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. 330 Congress St. 5th Fl.
