Bristol, RI – James F. Farias, 80, of Tiverton, RI, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2007 at St. Elizabeth Manor after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Marilyn A. (Waite) Farias.
Born in Tiverton, son of the late Francisco and Carlotta (Silvia) Farias, he was a lifelong resident of Tiverton. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the United States Army. Prior to retirement, he was a custodian for the Tiverton School System and was also a professional musician on the steel guitar. Mr. Farias was a member of the Bliss Four Corners Church, Tiverton. He also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include: 4 sons: Gary J. Farias of Tiverton, Kevin A. Farias of Tiverton, Gregory J. Farias of Tiverton and Ronald D. Farias of Tiverton; 2 sisters: Linda Aguiar of Tiverton and Delhia Farias formerly of Tiverton; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Saturday, September 8, 2007 at St. Theresa’s Church, Stafford Rd., Tiverton at 10:00 A.M.
