Wayne, New Jersey-Catherine Cecilia Owen age 90 died August 5, 2007 at Oakland Care Center. She was the beloved widow of Bernard Reginald Owen, who passed away 1969. She was the loving mother of David Michael Owen of FL., Mark Daniel and Dennis Patrick Owen of NJ., and Catherine Dangoia of Bridgewater, MA. She was the sister of the late Mary Rita O’Rourke. She is also survived by 5 Grandchildren.
Mrs. Owen was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Kelly) O’Rourke. She was born in New Bedford and lived in this area until 1943 when she moved to Buffalo, NY with her husband. She then moved to New Jersey in 1972 until the present. She was employed by Pediatric Associates of Wayne NJ. as a Medical Technician. She was a Former Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America; She was a member in New Bedford of the Daughters of Isabella as was her Mom, and the Medical Technologists Society.
Her funeral will be held Friday August 10th, from the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. With a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Parish, on County St. at 9:30 A.M., Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 8:30 A.M. prior to Mass.
