Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2007 for Minnie (Grodsky) Kohan of Port Charlotte, Florida & formerly of Chelsea. Mrs. Kohan entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family on August 7, 2007 at her home. She was 93 years old.
Born in Boston, the daughter of the late Alexander & Harriet Grodsky, Mrs. Kohan was raised & educated in Chelsea, graduating from Chelsea High School. She was employed for many years as a secretary for the John Hancock Life Insurance Company in Boston. Mrs. Kohan’s true devotion was to her family. She was a life member of the Chelsea Hebrew School, a member of the Shurtleff St. Synagogue, & a member of the Chelsea Jewish Memorial.
Wife of the late Samuel Kohan who entered into rest in 2004, she is survived by her daughter, Susan Maroney & her husband Jack of Port Charlotte, FL; her loving grandchildren Michelle LaGrasta & her husband Michael, Alan Maroney, & Eric Maroney; her cherished great-grandchildren, Amanda LaGrasta, Cassandra Maroney, Holly Maroney, Courtney Maroney, Mike LaGrasta, & Cullen Maroney; & her dear brother, Morris Grodsky of Milton.
Funeral services will be held in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery, 232 Fuller St. Everett. Memorial observance will be private.
