Charles E. Jones, Jr., 75, of Mansfield died on Sunday August 5, 2007 at the Cedar Hill Health Care Center in Randolph, MA. He was the husband of the late Donna M. (Saville) Jones who passed away in 1990.
Born in Norwood, MA on October 10, 1931 he was a son of the late Charles E. Jones, Sr. and Catherine (Currivan) Jones.
He was educated in Mansfield schools, was a graduate of Bridgewater State College and had also attended Boston College. He served in the United States Air force during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Jones had worked as a consultant for various plumbing and heating Companies prior to retiring. A resident of Mansfield for many years he was a communicant of St. Mary’s church in Mansfield.
He is survived by his children; Meredith Jones of Braintree, Gregory C. Jones of Scituate, Allison E. Jones of Braintree and Patrick R. Jones of Attleboro. He was the brother of Richard Jones of Nashua, New Hampshire, Edward Jones of Florida and the late Thomas Jones, Robert Jones and Francis Jones. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
His funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday August 8th at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 10:45 A.M.
Visiting hours have been omitted. Those wishing may make donations in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
