WORCESTER-Cecelia Tootle, 85, of Worcester, died Thursday, August 2nd, in Holy Trinity Eastern Orthodox Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, where she had resided for the last year and a half. She leaves a sister; several nephews and nieces, including, Robert Tootle and his wife Barbara of East Wareham; and close friend, Judith Mitchell of Worcester.
She was born in Acushnet, the daughter of William and Eliza (Goveia) Tootle and was a long time resident of New Bedford before moving to Worcester 30 years ago. Miss Tootle was a nurse’s aide at the Washburn House for 12 years, retiring in 1987 and previously worked at States Nitewear in New Bedford for 26 years. She also volunteered for the American Red Cross.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, is directing arrangements.
