Anabelle Jackson, age 64, of New London, an elder of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation, departed this earth peacefully on Friday.
She was born in New London on December 8, 1937 the daughter of William and Julia (Sebastian) Jackson.
A homemaker, she also volunteered her time at area soup kitchens.
She leaves to mourn her departing her five children, Diane Jackson Fisher, David Jackson, Angela Jackson, Ronald Jackson “Lone Wolf”, and Maria Jackson., a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Jackson Oates and Robert Oates, 10 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Betty Fletcher.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Thursday from 10-1145am followed by a service at 12noon. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
