Obituary

SHREWSBURY-Robert Gordon Seiders, 74 of Shrewsbury and Florida, died Saturday, December 7 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center-Memorial Campus, Worcester after a long illness.

He leaves his loving wife of 10 years, Irene D. (Rydell) Cotter Seiders; a son, Russell D. Seiders of Weymouth; a daughter, Linda Brooks of Chatham, four stepchildren and thier families and his two grandchildren, Nicholas and Eric Brooks. His son, Arthur Seiders of Quincy and his sisters, Virginia Patterson and Wilma Cooley both of Roslindale predecesed him.

He was born in Boston, the son of the alte Arthur L. and Myrtle D. (Berry) Seiders and lived many years in the Quincy area. He also spent time in Florida and Cape Cod.

Mr. Seiders retired from NYNEX where he worked for many years. He previously wokred for the American Telephone and Telegraph Co.

He was an Navy veteran of World War II and an Army veteran of the Korean War. He received the Bronze and Silver Stars.

He was a member of the Wollaston Lodge of Masons, the Elks Lodge 1511, Bradenton, Fla. and the Association of BellTel Retirees. He also was a member of the D.A.V. and its Commanders Club.

Private funeral servies will be held at a later date. There are no calling hours.
