Obituary

WORCESTER__ Hedwig S. (Wolochowicz) Kush, 82, of Worcester, died Sunday in St. Vincent Hospital after a short illness. Her husband, Walter Kush, died in 1994.
Mrs. Kush was a retired teacher, who had primarily worked in the Spencer public school system. She also taught and coached sports in Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as in Worcester.
Mrs. Kush leaves two sons, Bronislaus B. Kush of Worcester, and Joseph W. Kush of Oxford; a daughter, Barbara Ann S. Kush of Worcester, and two grandchildren, Peter C. Kush and Maggie Kush, both of Worcester.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Bronislaw A. and Sophie M.
(Korkuc) Wolochowicz. She graduated from Our Lady of the Elms College in Springfield and received her master's degree from Worcester State College.
Mrs. Kush was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and its’ Women's Guild.
A funeral will be held on Thursday, August 2, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. A calling hour in the funeral home will be Thursday, August 2, from 9:00 to 10:00 am. Memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester, MA 01610.
