Gertrude (Rotter) Katzman, 97, died Monday at the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Norwood. Born in New York City, she was raised and educated in Manhattan. Mrs. Katzman was a resident of Stoughton for the past two years, previously living in Florida. She worked as a bookkeeper for various companies throughout her career. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling, playing gin and reading romance novels.
She is survived by her two sons, Dr. Sydney H. Katzman and Paul Katzman both of Michigan, one brother, Harold Rotter of Arizona, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Dry Pond Cemetery, Corner of Plain St. and Bay Rd., Stoughton on Wednesday, August 1 at 10 AM. Donations in her memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
