New Bedford - Bertha E. Johnson, aged 86 years, died Sunday, July 29, 2007 at the Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Lima) Johnson. She was the sister of Marcelino L. Johnson of South Dartmouth, and nieces Joyce Alcorn of New Sharon, Maine and Marsha Donnelly of Milford, MA. She is also survived by several grandnieces, and grand nephews.
Ms. Johnson was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of her life. She was a bookkeeper at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. until her retirement. She was a member of the Portuguese American Civic League of Dartmouth, Goodyear Seniors, and St. Mary’s Guild.

Ms. Johnson’s funeral arrangements are from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., Relatives and Friends are invited to her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church Wednesday at 11 A.M.
