Obituary

WEBSTER – Elinor T. (Tomaszewski) Alexander, 90, of 9 New St., died Wednesday, July 25, in Hubbard Regional Hospital.

She leaves a brother, Henry Tomaszewski of North Grafton and many cousins. Her brother, John J. Tomaszewski, died in 1980.

She was born in Webster, the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Kokocinski) Tomaszewski and lived here most of her life. She graduated from the Westborough State Hospital School of Nursing.

She served in the WACS during World War II.

Ms. Alexander was a licensed practical nurse at Westborough State Hospital before retiring in 1973. She also worked at Hubbard Regional Hospital, Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge and at Munson State Hospital. After her retirement she then worked as a part time cook at Saint Joseph Rectory and Our Lady of Czestochowa Rectory in Worcester.

She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. She enjoyed cooking polish foods and caring for others.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, July 31, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling period will be from 9:15 to 10:15 Tuesday morning in the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph Bacilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570.
