Marie Manfra, of Medford formerly of Charlestown died Saturday at home after a brief illness. She was 78.
Mrs. Manfra was born in Boston and lived in Charlestown for many years. For the past 20 years she has resided in Medford.
She worked with the New England Telephone Company but her primary area of concern was her family. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband Anthony and four daughters: Linda Kearns and her husband Walter of San Diego, CA; Debra Fortin and her husband Edward of Westford; Cheryl Delafano and her husband Robert of Medford and Elaine Manfra and her husband Louis Klipper of Middleton.Marie leaves two sisters: Laura Settipani of Charlestown, Nancy Chirichiello of Medford andone brother: Dr. Joseph Cataldo of Manchester N.H.She was the loving grandmother of Walter, Tiffany, David, Andrew, Eric, Marie and Kristen.
Relatives and friends may visit Tuesday from 4 thru 9 at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 55 Winthrop Street, Medford, Wednesday at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
