Mildred Kembring

TEWKSBURY - Mildred I. (Peltz) Kembring, age 93, a resident of Tewksbury for the last two decades, died Wednesday, July 25, at the Wingate of Lowell Nursing Care Center, following a long period of declining health. She was the wife of the late Alfred E. Kembring, who died in 1979.

She was born in Pitston, PA, on September 7, 1913, a daughter of the late Howard and Nola (Andrews) Peltz. She lived in Philadelphia the greater part of her life before moving to Tewksbury in 1984. As a Tewksbury resident, she was a Communicant of St. William's Church and in her later years active in the Tewksbury Seniors community as a frequent visitor to the Tewksbury Senior Drop-In Center, and member of the Tewksbury Golden Age Club. She moved to "Congregate Living" in Dracut in 1999, but had been confined to Wingate at Lowell, formerly the Wentworth, for the past 5 years.

She is survived by a daughter, Eileen M. Griffin, a Tewksbury resident for over 30 years, currently residing at Lake Sunapee, NH; a son, Charles "Alfred" Kembring of Cochranville, PA; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

At her request funeral services are private. Memorials to the Tewksbury Senior Center, Building Fund, 175 Chandler St., Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
