Obituary


MANCHESTER: Sr. Alice M. Aube, RJM, 81, died July 23, 2007 at the Holy
Cross Health Care Center following a long illness.
She was born in Franklin, NH on September 1, 1925 the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Caulx) Aube.
She received her elementary and secondary education at the Villa Augustina, a Religious of Jesus and Mary school in Goffstown.
She professed her vows as M. Marie Anne de Jesus, RJM on August 22, 1951.She taught at several elementary schools in Fall River, MA., Woonsocket and Providence, RI., and Goffstown NH.
She later received a BS in Business. She retired from the Villa Augustina in Goffstown and became the head librarian at the Association Canado-Americain and the Centre Franco-Americain.
Sr. Aube had extraordinary artistic talents and produced many elaborate works such as crewel embroidery, all of which she contributed to the convent chapel. She enjoyed dancing and entertaining at various community assemblies.
On the 25th, Silver anniversary of Marquis Who’s Who in the East she was named for her outstanding achievements. In addition to her religious community, she leaves two sisters Mary Bilodeau of Laconia and Jeannette Jolda of Webster, MA., several nieces and nephews.
SERVICES: Calling hours will be Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Holy Cross Chapel, 357 Island Pond Road.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 am in the Holy Cross Chapel.
Burial will be in Villa Augustina Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the Villa Augustina, Tuition Assistance Fund, 208 So. Mast Street, Goffstown, NH 03045.
