Bill Johnson, age 90 of Water Valley, MS died in the Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley on July 23,2007. Bill was a member of O' Tuckolofa Baptist Church. He loved music and will be remembered as a member of many local country music bands.
Visitation will be at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Wednesday evening July 25, 2007 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Thursday afternoon, July 26, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Brother Dan Dickerson officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery with Charles Heath, Clinton Mooney, Bobby Singleton, Jimmy Hollowell, Buck Raley and Billy Stark serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Dale Ashmore, Hubert Sanders, Donnie Laughlin, James Taylor, Terry Anthony, Clinton McKinney, James Grimmet, Bob Williams and Cayce Washington.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Charlotte Johnson Hardy and husband Horace of Water Valley, MS; son Billy Johnson and wife Jane of Water Valley, MS; grandsons, Chris Kevin Johnson and wife Shadi, Brian Damon Johnson and wife Andrea; Great-grandsons, Cameron and Brandon Johnson; Great-grandaughters, Brianna and Melody Johnson; 2 sisters, Edith Mize of Oxford, MS, Ruby Haney of Arlington, TX; 2 brothers, Jack Johnson of Madera, CA and Johnny Johnson of Huntington, AR .
Preceding Bill in death were his wife, Euelea A. Johnson (1987); parents, L. L. Johnson and Eloise Barton Johnson; sisters, Cecil Mae Riggs, Annie Kate Hollowell and Coleen Kemp; brothers, Hargis Johnson and Earl Hugh Johnson.
