Ladas, Jean Marie (Bythrow) of Quincy, age 79, July 21, 2007.

Daughter of the late George V. and Louise T. (Keene) Bythrow. Devoted wife of the late Leo A. Ladas, Cpt. QFD. Beloved mother of Leo A. Ladas, Jr. and his wife Jean K. of Wayland, Mark E. Ladas and his wife Kristen B., David J. Ladas, and Nancy L. Ladas all of Quincy. Loving sister of Fredrick G., Daniel A., and Mary C. Bythrow all of Quincy, Robert R. Bythrow of N. Reading, John S. Bythrow of Ellington, CT, Peter F. Bythrow of MD, and the late George V. Bythrow, Martha E. Byrne, Beatrice L. Miller, Valerie A. DiTullio, William F. , Alonzo J., and Margaret Bythrow. Cherished grandmother of Andrea Starr, John, Marjorie, Michael, and Nicholas Ladas. Also survived by 58 nieces and nephews and over 100 grandnieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Friday at 9 AM.

Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish in Most Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:00 AM.

Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8 PM.

Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Jean graduated from Quincy High School in 1945 and Quincy City Hospital School of Nursing and was a Registered Nurse at Quincy City Hospital for 35 years. She was a Certified Surgical Nurse and a WWII Cadet Nurse in Quincy. She was a member of the South Shore Registered Nurses Association, the American Registered Nurses Association, and the Massachusetts Nurses Association. Jean was active in the YMCA, and the Ladies of Sodality. After retirement, she was a substitute School Nurse for the Quincy School Systems. Jean was a great cook and enjoyed gardening both vegetables and flowers.
