Bertha (Noverca) Anderson, age 91, of Fall River, died Sunday July 15 in Fall River at her home. She was the wife of the late James Anderson Sr. She was born in Fall River and was a life long resident. Daughter of the late Jose F. and the late Deolinda (Souza) Noverca. Prior to retiring, she had worked as a Packer for Frito Lay Co., and previously for North American Fringe Co. She was a member of St. Michael Church.
She is survived by 3 Daughters: Natalie Hagan & her husband Charles of Riverside, RI, Jane Bridge & her husband Robert of Ruffsdale, PA, and one other daughter; 1 Son: James H. Anderson Jr.& his wife Theresa of Fall River. Sister of James F. Noverca and Arthur Russell Noverca both of Fall River, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 Great-great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Jose F. Noverca Jr., Antero F., David F., Aurillo “Harold” F., & Umberto “Herbert” F. Noverca.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, MA on Wednesday at 7:30 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church, Essex St. at 8:30 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery.
