Obituary

Linda A. Killius, 55, of Derry, NH, died Friday, July 13, 2007 in the Elliot Hospital, Manchester, NH due to complications following breast cancer. Mrs. Killius was born in Chester, PA on December 11, 1951, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy Hollis. She lived in many places during her childhood. Linda was a licensed pilot. When she was a student at a local flight school at Lawrence airport, she met her husband, Drew, who was a fellow student. She flew actively with her husband for a number of years. In 1985 they bought a house in Derry and were eventually married in their house, and it became a home. Linda rose to the ranks of executive secretary for a local defense contractor. She was also a homemaker, raising her daughter, Lisa. She then became a college student, attending Revere College in Nashua, NH and earning her Associates Degree in Nursing. Linda was an RN who specialized in geriatric nursing and became a charge nurse for Birchwood in Derry and later charge nurse for Hunt Community in Nashua.

She is survived by her husband of over 20 years, Drew Killius of Derry, a daughter, Lisa LeBlond and her husband Paul of Manchester, NH, two sisters, Jill Hollis and Susan MacDonald, both of Haverhill, MA, a nephew, John MacDonald, and also by many friends and coworkers.

There will be no calling hours. Following cremation a service of remembrance will be held at a date and place to be determined. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Salem Animal Rescue League, 4 SARL Drive, Salem, NH 03079.
