Richard W. Knowlton, 57, of 14 Long Pond Road, Ledyard passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Wednesday, July 11, 2007.
He was born on May 16, 1950 to Desmond and Maxine Knowlton.
He was predeceased by his wife Judy A. (Campo) Knowlton who died in February and his father Desmond W. Knowlton. He is survived by his daughter Sheila Fountain and husband Steve of Warren, MA, daughter Teresa Butler and husband Jim of Liberty, ME, son Tom Martin, Jr. and wife Ellie of South Liberty, ME, daughter Tammy Birkbeck and husband Gary of Thorndike, ME, and son Todd Martin of Liberty, ME. He is also survived by his grandchildren Alexandria, Jeremy, Garrett, Zack, Kurtis, Stacey, Mike, Crystal, Susan, and Jarred and one great grandchild Julian.
He was a graduate of Mt. View High School, Thorndike, ME. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and spending time at his home in Maine with his wife and family. He will be sadly missed by many.
A Graveside Service will be conducted with military honors at Hunts Memorial Cemetery in Liberty, Maine on Saturday, July 21st at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
