Josephine V. (Terrio) Vining, of Medford, died Thursday at the Massachusetts General Hospital after a period of declining health. She was 81.
Born and raised in Medford, Josephine was the daughter of the late Charles and the late Anna Terrio. A dedicated wife and mother, Josephine enjoyed the company of her large family and dear friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard M Vining. She was a devoted mother to Richard F. Vining of Wilmington, VT, David T. Vining and his wife Jayne of Andover, Michael P. Vining and his wife Patricia of Stoneham, Steven C. Vining of Salisbury, the late Gary E. and Ronald J. Vining. She was a dear mother-in-law to Joanne Vining of Medford. She was a loving grandmother to 18 grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Robert Terrio of Malden, Walter Terrio of Cal., Grace Cantone of Medford, Theresa Chisholm of Malden, Mary Motzkin of Tucson, AZ, the late John, Charles, Al, Paul and Eileen Terrio. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and friends.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Monday 4 thru 8.
