Obituary

Joseph F. Austin 82 of Franklin, died Friday July 13, 2007 at the Maples Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Wrentham, following a long illness.
Born in Franklin October 1, 1924 a son of the late Harold F. and Agnes (Woodman) Austin, he was a lifelong town resident. He was raised and educated in Franklin, and until his retirement, worked for over 40 years for the William F. Filenes Co. as a credit manager.
He was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, the American Association of Retired Persons, and was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin and St. Jude’s Church in Norfolk.
He is survived by 2 sisters, Carol M. Kinlin of Norfolk, Lenore “Betty” Williams of Randolph, a brother Donald F. “Hoppy” Austin of Bellingham, and many generational nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday July 16, 2007 at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. (www.franklinfuneral.com) with a funeral mass in St. Jude’s Church 86 Main St. Norfolk at 10AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Franklin.
Calling hours are Sunday July 15, 2007 from 2-5PM at the funeral home.
