Estelle Williamson Troup, 81, of Fitzgerald, died Friday, July 13 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 4 P.M., Sunday, July 15, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John K. Mobley and Rev. Bob Chaudoin officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Troup was born November 1, 1925, in Ben Hill County, to the late John P. and Alice Johnson Williamson. She lived in the community all of her life graduating from Fitzgerald High School in 1944. Mrs. Troup attended East Central Technical School. She was a former bookkeeper/secretary for Fitzgerald Ford Lincoln Mercury Company, and Ben Hill County Behavioral Health Services. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Mrs. Troup is survived one brother-in-law: Earl Troup of Gainesville, FL; one sister-in-law: Jackie Troup of Jasper; several nieces and nephews: Debbie Hartness of Greenville, SC, Kathy Busbin of McRae, Mike Hudson of Columbia, SC, Patti Drew of Gainesville, FL, Debbie Hinton of Jasper, Dr. Chris Troup of Macon, and Joey Troup of Jasper; several great-nieces and nephews, Tosha Martin of Fitzgerald, Kayla Hudson of McRae, Tara Hartness of Canton, NY, Michael Hendley of Fitzgerald, Chris Hartness of Winter Park, FL; and one great-great-nephew, Lane Hendley of Fitzgerald. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Troup, Jr., brothers, John Roy Williamson and Floyd D. Williamson and a sister, Thelma Williamson.
