Manuel M. Adriano, Jr., 35, of New Bedford died December 3, 2002 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, December 24, 1966, Manuel was the son of Linda (Cory) Medeiros and the late Manuel M. Adriano. He was the step-son of Norman Medeiros. He lived in this area all his life.
Mr. Adriano attended public schools in New Bedford as well as Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School. He was an engineer and cook on numerous fishing vessels in the area for about 20 years.
Manuel enjoyed all sports and fishing and he especially enjoyed playing hockey, which he played while at GNB Voke. He participated in bowling as a youth and played football and baseball in the SEYAA at Clegg Field on Brock Avenue.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Linda and Norman Medeiros of New Bedford; a sister, Darci-Lynn Leclair, and her husband Jeffrey, of Coconut Creek, Florida; his maternal grandmother, Natalie Ochs of New Bedford; a longtime companion, Debra Pinheiro of New Bedford; his best friend, Stephen Morris; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was the grandson of the late Manuel and Hilda Adriano and Orrin F. Cory.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Saturday, December 7th at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Friday, December 6th from 5-8 PM.
Interment St. John's Cemetery.
