Fall River - Ruth (Turton) Jones, 92, of N. Dartmouth passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Warren O. Jones.
Mrs. Jones was born in East Orange, NJ, a daughter of the late Frederick B. and Daisy I. (Dennis) Turton. She was a former member of the Black Rock Congregational Church in Fairfield, CT and had worked at the Bradford Evangelical Free Church in Bradford, VT and Blake Memorial Library in East Corinth Village, VT. Mrs. Jones loved quilting and reading.
Survivors include 2 sons: Robert W. Jones of Pittsfield, MA and Christopher P. Jones of Bradford, VT; 4 daughters: Carol Ann Thompson of Hawthorne, FL, Judith J. Perkins of NH, Wendy J. Heidenreich of E. Corinth, VT and Sally J. LeBlanc of N. Dartmouth; 21 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Winifred McGill , Frederick Turton and Vivian Turton.
