Barbara E. (Lynch) O’Brien, 66, of Medway, died peacefully at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester on Friday, July 6, 2007, after an illness.
She was born in Framingham, the daughter of the late Charles F. Lynch, Sr. and the late Dorothea (Roak) Lynch.
Ms. O’Brien was raised in Millis and was a graduate of Millis High School, Class of 1959. She lived most of her life in Medway.
She was a certified nurse’s aide and worked at several area nursing homes. She retired from Bethany Health Care Center in Framingham in 2005.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves her son, Daniel Schwendenman of Albuquerque, New Mexico, her daughters, Donna Alonzi of Marlborough and Dale Mandoni of Medway, her daughter-in-law Kathryn Schwendenman, and her sons-in-law Mark Alonzi and Richard Mandoni; her grandchildren, Amy and Kyle Schwendenman, Michael and Gabrielle Alonzi, and Jenna and Grace Mandoni. She also leaves her long-time companion, George “Ricky” Tabor of Medway.
She also leaves her brother, Charles F. Lynch, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Norton, her sisters, Patricia Dingle and her husband, Richard of Virginia, Charlotte Lynch of Florida, and Elizabeth Bodge and her husband, Fred of Medway and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday, July 10 at 9 AM from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), 3 Barber St. in Medway followed by a funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village Street in Medway at 10 o’clock. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 – 8 p.m.
