Mrs. Florence P. (Nicholson) Ekstrom, 76 of 94 Hill Avenue, died Thursday, July 5, 2007 in Milford Regional Medical Center, following a long illness. She was the wife of Robert E. Ekstrom Sr., and the Wife of the late Alden Mucciarone, who died in 1975.
Born in Worcester, April 20, 1931, a daughter of the late Jacob I. and Florence E. (Walker) Nicholson, she lived in Franklin for most of her life.
She was educated in Franklin public schools, and also attended Framingham State College. Until her retirement several years ago, she worked as a clerk at the Wrentham District Court for more than 25 years.
Her hobbies and past times included family, gardening and RV travel and camping.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 26 years are 4 sons: Robert E. Ekstrom, Jr. of Debouque, Colorado, Bradford S. Ekstrom of Wrentham, Mark A. Mucciarone of Franklin, and David Mucciarone of California; 2 daughters, Lynn M. Mucci of Milford and Brenda L. Nichols of Wrentham; a brother, Frank Nicholson of New Hampshire; 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was also the sister of the late Lawrence Nicholson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Monday, at 11:00 AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.frankinfuneral.com Interment will follow in Union Street Cemetery in Franklin.
