AUBURN
Chester P. Zmyslowski, 74, of Auburn, formerly of Worcester, died from lung cancer on Wednesday, July 4, in Radius Healthcare Center. He was born on Patriots Day, April 19, 1933. He leaves his wife of 40 years, Barbara (Wrixon) Zmyslowski; three children, Kurt of Dudley, Mark of East Brookfield, and Kim of Boylston; a brother, Walter P. Zmyslowski, M.D. of Worcester; a sister, Rita C. Anderson of Bethesda, MD; his former wife, Carol (Whitman) Gerardi of Worcester and nieces and nephews. A brother Alexander was killed in World War II, and two sisters, Carol Zmyslowski and Janet M. Logan, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of Alexander and Viola (Czerminski) Zmyslowski.
Chester was an independent painter and a steeplejack for many years. Prior to that time, he worked for the Frank L. Adams Company. He was a member of the Worcester Local Painters Union #48. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Chester was a loving father, a devoted brother, and a very good friend to many.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 7, from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St., with a Mass at 9:30 AM, in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St., Worcester. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. A visiting hour will be held from 8:00 to 9:00 AM at the funeral home.
