Monica M. (McDonough) Auch, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Sunday July 1, 2007 at Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden following an extended illness. She was 66 years old.
Monica was born in Boston and has lived in Charlestown her entire life where she attended Boston Public Schools. She began as a volunteer at the Life Focus Center in Charlestown for several years then became a full time employee there.
Monica is the beloved wife of the late Lawrence F. Auch. She is the devoted mother of Lawrence F. Auch Jr., Donna Auch, Bernard Auch, Carol Donovan and Robert Auch all of Charlestown. She is the loving grandmother of 3 grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Daniel and Karen McDonough and the late Mary Simon, Thomas, James, Robert and Sonny McDonough.
Monica's Funeral will be held on Friday July 6, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Catherine's Church 49 Vine St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Monica will be held on Thursday July 5, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
