Obituary

William Jordan, age 91, of 617 Lantern Hill Road, North Stonington, died Monday evening at Pendleton in Mystic with his wife by his side.

Bill was born in Ridgeway, N. Carolina on January 15, 1911 the son of Martha (Ross) Jordan. Raised in N. Carolina, he moved to Connecticut at the age of 18 where he entered the US Army serving during World War II.

He was employed for many years as a farmer in the area where he met his wife of over 64 years, Idabelle (Sebastian) Jordan.

He was a member of the Hugo Simonelli Post, VFW in Mystic and was active with the Eastern Pequot Nation.

In addition to his wife, he leaves several nieces and a nephew.

A Private Family Service will be conducted at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. There are no visiting hours.
